It pitches exactly what the title states. With that being said, I've seen a lot of negative attitudes and press regarding individual interpretations of the book. With any self-help book, if you boil it down to its most minuet point, you're going to get difference conclusions.

I recently acquired the Cute Baby by Shaki Toys from Edenfantasys. It's a pocket rocket, and as some of you know that's my preferred vibe. There's just less cleaning and maintenance involved than a vibrating bullet or dildo meant. And taking it with you on trips is a lot easier as you don't have that "oddly shaped" bag or box in your suitcase/carry on. Nor is there a lot of at home storage space involved either. It basically gives you maximum discreet usage and privacy.

I was also excite to get a hold of the Cute Baby because I intended to have it replace my Doc Johnson pocket rocket which has basically fallen to pieces after having it a little more than year. It still functions well, but the plastic ring to keep the cap top that covers the rotating motor has huge cracks and chunks falling out of it enabling the top to come off at any time. It could be repaired with glue, but that brings up sanitation issues, possible skin irritation, etc.

The product itself arrived in the standard clear, hard plastic casing, and required a heavy pair of scissors to free it from the packaging. The item itself is as bright neon pink as shown in the photos and has a heavy plastic exterior with a large "jawbreaker" sized end that tapers to a point, resembling a microphone. I'd normally consider this a good design, but the tip was so large that made it difficult to get a good position for clitoral stimulation.

I ran to grab the single AAA battery it requires for operation and proceeded to open the pop top. At first I had some difficulty opening it as the seal is very strong and it isn't a screw top/twist release like others out there. When I finally reassembled it I found a rather annoying flaw--there's no "click" lock to turn on and off. You basically have to twist the top and hope that the two connectors met and stayed together.

The vibration level was also somewhat disappointing as it was less than original described by other reviewers. I don't think the design fault is the motor though, but the casing. I used the item both in the bedroom and in the bathtub as it's supposed to be water resistant and found that it worked find for both. I do worry though that continual exposure to condensation will cause the contacts inside the vibe to rust or short circuit.

A Little Red Runaround

I’ve had this petticoat from Edenfantasys for a while. I've invested in numerous petticoats over the years from various suppliers, and as a costumer, constructed a few myself, so I understand how complex it can be to make one that’s cost effective, flattering, and well-constructed. For me sadly, this petticoat failed on all accounts.

As a plus sized gal, I knew that wearing a petticoat on my bottom would further accentuate my large hips, giving me more of a bell shape, than a true hourglass. Well, it would do that if there was actually enough yardage in the petticoat, but it’s a “one size fits none” variety. The petticoat creates a shape in which all the sides literally poke straight out making it impossible to be paired with short skirt unless you want everyone to see your goods from a mile away.

The petticoat’s issues lie predominantly in the materials and construction method used. Traditionally, you’d use multiple yards of tulle gathered along a waist band with sturdy 1” elastic with several ruffles long each layer at the bottom to give the necessary lift to the base of the skirt. However, this item has only two layers of short, stiff red netting that has then been trimmed in rough 2” red lace which was then attached to a 6” lycra band with a thin strip of elastic as support at the top. The lycra compounds the other problems listed by adding bulk to a ladies’ mid-section while failing to alleviate the other issues. (It looks like a spandex band top for my love handles.)

There’d be possibilities if the petticoat could permanently hold this shape, but due to the low brow materials used in it’s constructions, this item would never survive more than one or two washer/dryer visits. (And it’d need to be washed with only delicates as buttons, zippers, and other items will snag the netting and tear this to pieces.)

It’s possible that this item would be suitable for someone half my size. (Say a standard size 8.) But even then, you’d still have to put up with the unforgiving lycra and itchy netting and lace, and the fact that due to the fabric's stiffness that you'll constantly hear a "rustling noise" while wearing it!

Due to the photography in the picture, all the light source comes from one side, acting in almost a scrim effect--like a one-way mirror made of fabric. However, when worn on the body, it'll be completely sheer in the back. So if you planned to wear this to a costume/lingerie party, you might want to take that into account.

The same can be said if you're bust is larger than the recommended measurements. If you're all "cup" then you'll either have to worry about being flattened out, or falling out as the cup doesn't have much "give" to it. I've personally added "falsies" to the bra so that my girls will have more get-up-and-go while wearing this piece.

Also beware of the fact that the midsection stretches because if you have any "tummy" it's going to let it hang out, as opposed to sucking it in. Adding a nice underbust corset to this piece will help eliminate that problem though, and further add to the overall effect.

As far as the construction, I find it to be very good for a lesser known brand of lingerie. (It can really be hit and miss with quality sometimes.) So if you're looking for a teddy (to me it isn't really a chemise) for that "special occasion". This is exactly what you're looking for!

The Tantrabeam’s name alludes to some mind-altering tantric experience, and if you consider that this massager has sliding dial to control the intensity of the vibrations, that wouldn’t
be far fetched.

The Tantrabeam comes in a glimmering gold satchel and a hard plastic carrying case with a cut foam insert that the vibrator snugly fits into. The vibe comes with a set of buttercream-colored, elastic replacement straps and two AAA batteries. There’s also an instruction manual that includes a two year warranty. The toy itself is silver and peach colored plastic. The intensity dial, and the on/off button, is located on the main until that straps to your arm. From there, there’s an electrical cord that runs to the main vibrating unit which attaches to your finger.

Tantrabeam is meant to be used as an external massager whose vibrations travel down through your fingers while you manually stimulate yourself. And while the product does put off very strong vibrations for its size and battery power, I do have some nitpicks about the design; in particular how the vibration is used for stimulation, and the overall design of the vibrator.

While I like the non-gender specific design of the vibe (seriously, its flesh tone and silver), the vibe itself feels awkward strapped to your arm—especially with elastic straps secured via Velcro. The finger portion of the massager is fairly normal in comparison to other comparable units on the market, but the cord that attaches the two is just long enough to allow a range of wrist motions, and get in the way should you (or your partner) start moving your arms/legs around without any serious thought. You also have to be hyper conscious of where you place your forearm (especially with a partner) as the button and dial are both very sensitive, and will easily change settings if bumped.

The only other item that bothers me is something that most people wouldn’t even have to worry about, but this is my review, so I thought I’d mention it for those in similar situations. I have nerve damage in both my arms. This nerve damage is exacerbated by repetitive motion, but things like excessive vibrations, etc can set it off as well. Well, I finally got around to watching Tampa Bukkake 2 last night. And apparently the issue that I though was on "my side" is actually a manufacturing error.

In particular, there's no sound in any of the scenes. I know that it's a disc specific issue because the audio for the DVD menu plays fine, but whenever it goes into a scene there's a lot of talking, but no sound. This might seem odd to people, but if they're digitally editing the footage with a video editing program like Avid, it's not hard to delete the audio, or not burn it at all.

My theory proved further truthful when I slapped in another DVD, ran it in the same program, and sound worked throughout the entire disc. I spoke with Georga at Adultmaven.com about the issue, and she told me that she's had similar problems concerning 2 discs she's gotten from the same company in the past. One she said, wouldn't play at all, and the other played until about half way into the disc and then just died.

It's begun to make me wonder if it's common for small-scale adult producers to have moderate to high manufacturing errors. I don't always like big labels like Adam and Eve or Wicked, but sometimes a big porn studio has the qualified staff that other smaller operations don't.

I've been sick for the past week and half and it's put me into the negative column as far as posting goes. Tickle His Pickle is a 150 pg guide to pleasing the male genitilia, minus all the textbook jargon. The authoress, Dr. Sadie Alison, offers easy-to-follow instructions on oral sex and manual masturbation techniques that’s written for an audience of straight females, gay males, and bisexuals alike.

I was actually introduced to Tickle His Pickle through a male friend several years ago. He’d read the book, and became so enamored with it, that he began request his less experienced girlfriends to read it. Me, the rather curious sort, asked to borrow. I figured that it’d be an amusing read, if nothing else. And I was happy to find that not only was it entertaining, but it was also very informative, offering detailed descriptions of the male anatomy and beginner-thru-advanced skill building lessons.

There’s also a great emphasis on safe sex with an entire section devoted specifically to it. (Something that I personally love as film and television tend to gloss over the need to use protection in today’s society.) The books overall theme is about strengthening your relationship with your partner through romance and physical contact. However, the book doesn’t simply believe that things can be achieved through ‘chocolates and roses’ alone. The illustrations throughout the book are comical without being crude.

The various techniques themselves aren’t complicated, nor do they require dual enrollment in a yoga class. This book can be used to develop sexual skills quickly, or it can be picked up and thumbed through to find something new and different to try when the mood strikes. The book is oriented so that every time you master a skill, you have the opportunity to build on that skill, thus adding to your repertoire.

And while there’s several other books out there that could easily command your attention, it’s Tickle His Pickle’s casual language that’s the best thing about it. You don’t have to endure reading through the Author’s past erotic flings to get the knowledge you’re seeking. Nor is this some bland, method book that lacks any sense of charm. The writers voice also doesn’t alienate male readers by pulling some sorority front. It’s really just a book about getting your guy off. And based on my experience, the pickle hasn’t complained yet.

Or atleast that's what advertisers say about marketing. And I'd have to agree. The adult novelty industry grossed approximately $225 million dollars in 2006 alone through online, physical store fronts, and in-home parties.

It's because of this continuously booming industry that books like Naughty Girls' Night In exist. As pretty much the only authority out there right now, this book is definitely ahead of the curve. Porn-a-lution?

I'm permanently moving out of my parent's house in 2 more days. I say "permanently" because I don't foresee myself at anytime in the future moving back in with them. I'm moving on-campus to take an RA position, so that's housing, utilities, and food money all right there in one job. With that realization came the knowledge that I was going to have to find something I could do almost entirely at home that took a minimal amount of time, and could work around my schedule with ease so that I could afford the additional things that I'd need in the future.

Thus came the "porn-a-lution". Around this time of year, people make "resolutions" of things they intend to do next year. I have quiet a few of these, but in this case, I'm also making a "porn-a-lution" because my goal is to make money via the internet through adult reviews, text message operation, and adult novelty sales.

In the past I've been a paysite content provider, and I found the work to be both dangerous and unprofitable for those that wish to keep their tops (and bottoms) on. Having found an already continuously profitable middle-ground in the adult industry, I hope to continue to simply grow what seeds I've already sewn. And quiet possibly make a living from porn, without having to actually be in it.

My EX would've probably died at the thought that there was anything that could possibly pleasure me more than his penis. I think the review portion is wonderfully sardonic. I have trouble reading reviews like this on most toy sites because it's like someone who tried to rate a cake they bought that got stepped on. They're pissed their cake got stepped on, so they blame the baker, when she should blame the ass who put their foot in it.

Right now I'm focusing on a bunch of items for Adultmaven.com

They're really one of the only sites that I've found so far that are openly taking reviewers for Adult materials, paying fairly consistently (including page clicks), and looking for quality work. I've read reviews on there that I didn't particularly care for, but I've also seen porn reviews from some customers on some retailer sites that just made my Grammar Nazi wanna go BDSM on 'em.
